almost to the finish line
Posted by in this & thatOkay, so who else out there is doing the writing marathon too? Sandy? Julie? Tasha? Ali? How’s it going?
Only a few more hours. I am taking a break to hang with the kids and facilitate my husband’s watching of the BYU game (which he more than deserves after all he’s done to help out today–he took the kids grocery shopping and to the aquarium all by his onesie). But I will be back. And I will finish. Because it’s like the real marathon–you get to the really hard part and realize, “I have worked way too hard to quit now!”
Go everyone!

Yay, go, Ally, go! =D
I’m actually nowhere near my goal of 15k, which is sad, but considering I write at a snail’s pace, that was perhaps much too lofty a goal. I am, however, much further along with the manuscript than I would’ve been had I not taken up the challenge, and I intend to write until the last second, even if I don’t make my goal. :]
Good luck with yours!
Sandy, I think that is AWESOME that you aimed so high, and that you are staying strong until the finish. I write slowly too (as you can tell by my goal of 5,000 words) and I think that is just fine. You’re doing great. Keep up the good work!
Congrats you guys! Do you all plan on doing another marathon any time soon?
Whoa. Blogging on a notTuesday! On top of a writer’s marathon! This is way exciting. My writing goal is to be done editing in time for the next marathon (whenever that will be.)
Go Ally! Isn’t it great to have awesome hubbies who will take the kids out when we REALLY need a break! (Or more often in my case, stay home with the kid so I can GET OUT!)
Way to go Ally! That is awesome. Isn’t it just a great feeling to reach a goal? I love it.
Great job. Did you make your goal? I did fifteen hours of writing in three days and revised 15 chapters of my novel.
MJ and Samantha, I will definitely link it again when they do the next writing marathon. It went really well so I know they are planning on doing it again fairly soon.
Thanks, Stacey and Sara!
And Ali, congrats! That is amazing!!
