Congrats on the foreign rights! Yeah, I echo the same sentiments as the person above me- post the foreign covers if you can!

By the way, Calla is a good name but imho I love Cassia a lot better! Though it’s wrong I like to pronounce it as Cah-see-uh in my head Either way, though, it sounds nice and fitting to a dystopian novel, for some reason!

I TOLD you we are the same person. The main “female” character in my new book (out in June) is Cassia. It went to press yesterday, so it’s too late to change it. LOL!

But Cassia is a great name, and I won’t tell you the name of my WIP character just so I can see who you come up with next

Congrats on the foreign rights, etc. etc.

It will be fun to see all of the different covers that you’ll get.

I can understand your attachment to your character’s name after you explained why you chose it. I like the new name too though. Congrats on selling all those foreign rights!

16 countries! Congratulations! Not only is that exciting for the book, but for you…any plans for international book tour? Wow that’s wonderful.

The name change probably does take some getting used to. Characters and their names can start to feel so integral to one another, but I’m sure you made the right choice. I can’t wait to read the book. I just read HUNGER GAMES in anticipation, and now I REALLY can’t wait to read your book!

Super news!
Cassia is pretty, although I’m glad you clarified the pronunciation. I’m always bothered when I read a book and don’t know how the name is supposed to read. I’ll miss Calla, (we’re attempting to grow some Calla Lillies this year) but I’m sure it was the right decision.

I will miss Calla in some ways, but I am so excited to see the finished product of Matched and bask in the greatness that is you and Cassia!
